Robert J. Shanahan, Jr.

Managing Partner Robert J. Shanahan, Jr. specializes in wills, trusts and estates, powers of attorney, guardianships, elder law, and advance directives.  A former New Jersey state mediator, he also handles municipal court cases in Somerset, Warren and Hunterdon counties.

Prior to joining Kilcommons Shanahan, LLC in 1997, Bob worked at another New Jersey law firm, where in addition to being a managing partner he focused on product and premises liability, environmental matters and general insurance litigation. This gave Bob a strong background in the practicalities of the courtroom, which he is able to pass on to clients.

Bob received his law degree from Temple University School of Law, where he was Associate Editor of the school’s Environmental Law & Technology Journal.  His undergraduate degree is in history, cum laude, from William Paterson College of New Jersey.
